Automatic software update
The receiver automatically searches for any new software available every day when updating the
EPG data.
The receiver does not make the changes automatically without your approval, but
saves them temporarily until the next time the receiver is started.
The next time the receiver is started you will see the following on-screen display.
If new software is found, you will see the following on-screen display the next time you start the
UFS 946/CI+ (the original on-screen displays may vary from these example screenshots):

Update Software
Mainmenu - Service menu
The receiver saves the new data and
then restarts.
! Note
Data will be stored! Don't switch off the
receiver! Receiver will start automatically!
After the restart, the update is complete.
Do not switch off the receiver during this process; wait until the automatic restart
has been completed. The software in the unit may otherwise be corrupted!
You can use the Service menu to check whether the new software has been
installed.
After performing a software update, check the time setting on the receiver!
