S et to the Manual shooting mode.
Displays the color b ar on the screen and starts recording in
this state. ( S ee b elow)
There are two ways to display the color b ar.

S et [COLOR BAR] in the [CAMERA PROCE SS ] menu to
[ON]. ( A Page 61)

S et [U S ER1], [U S ER2], or [U S ER 3 ] in the [CAMERA
S ETTING S ] menu to [COLOR BAR], then press the
corresponding U S ER b utton.

Between the two methods a b ove, setting via the U S ER
b utton is given a higher priority.

When in the Full Auto shooting mode, the color b ar will not
appear.

Alternatively, press the U S ER b utton that is set as
[COLOR BAR].

The picture q uality of the camera can b e set using the
[CAMERA PROCE SS ] menu.
Adjustment screens are displayed for the following items in
the [CAMERA PROCE
SS ] menu.
As the adjustments are shown on the screen, you can adjust
the values while checking the picture
q uality on the camera.

Adju s t accordingly.
Push the S et Lever to the left or right.

Doing so moves the slide b ar in the same direction. The
detail level of the camera image changes according to the
movement along the slide
b ar.

Confirm the adju s ted value.
Press the center of the S et Lever.

The menu screen closes.

When the setting values of the [GAMMA], [COLOR
MATRIX], and [KNEE] items in the [CAMERA PROCE
SS ]
menu are altered, the change is reflected instantly on the

Recording the color b ar
When the [ S Y S TEM S ELECT], [REC MODE] menu is as
b elow, the color b ar can b e recorded.

On-screen display on the external monitor
If the [ S Y S TEM S ELECT] menu is set to [720-**], the on-
screen display will appear as usual when the color b ar is
output on the external monitors b elow. ([DI S PLAY ON TV]
setting in the [CONNECTION S ETTING S ] menu is invalid.)
