Removing the Hood
Remove the hood when attaching a filter (with external
diameter 50 mm and
b elow), teleconverter or wide converter
to the front of the lens.

Turn the hood in an anti-clockwi s e direction to
remove it.
Charging the Battery
There are two ways to charge the b attery.

Charging with the s upplied battery charger.
䡵
Charging with thi s camcorder.
1 .
Connect the battery charger to a power outlet u s ing
the provided power cord.
2 .
Attach the s upplied battery to the battery charger
by pre ss ing and s liding it in the direction of the
arrow.

When b attery charging starts, the indicating lamp
b links.
●
When charging is complete, the indicating lamp lights
up.
3 .
Remove the battery by s liding it in the oppo s ite
direction after charging i s complete.

Turn off the power of the camcorder.
2 .
Attach the s upplied battery.
With the b attery mark (
D
) on the left, insert it into the
camcorder, and slide it to the left.

Connect the AC adapter that i s provided with the
camcorder.
Connect the DC ca b le to the DC terminal, and the AC
adapter to a power outlet using the provided power cord.

When b attery charging starts, the access indicating
lamp b links.
●
When charging is complete, the access indicating lamp
goes out.
Charging time and continuous recording time (approximate)
●
The a b ove are the approximate charging times when
used under an am b ient temperature range of 10°C to
3 5°C.
●
A longer charging time may b e re q uired if the b attery has
b een left unused for a long time.
●
Recording time may differ depending on the age of the
b attery, charging condition, and operating environment.
●
Recording time is shortened in cold environments.
●
Recording time is shortened when the zoom lens and
LCD screen are fre
q uently used.

Turn off the power of the camcorder.
2 .
Pre ss the battery lock relea s e button and s lide the
battery to the right.
