Decelerating the truck
f
The braking behaviour of the truck is mainly dependent on the ground conditions. The
driver must consider this when handling the truck. Carefully decelerate the truck so
that the load does not shift.
When travelling with towed load, longer braking distances must be considered.
– Release foot from accelerator pedal (6) (11/13) and slightly push down brake pedal
(7/12), if necessary (refer also to section 5.4).
4.3 Steering

Due to the hydrostatic steering system the steering force to be exerted is very low;
therefore, turn the steering wheel sensitively.
Driving right curves
– Turn the steering wheel clockwise according to the desired steering radius.
Driving left curves
– Turn the steering wheel counter-clockwise according to the desired steering radius.
4.4 Braking
The truck can be braked in four ways:
– Service brake
– Coasting brake
– Reversing brake
– Parking brake
– Spring-loaded brake
Service brake:
– Push down brake pedal (7/12) until
noticeable braking pressure builds up.

The service brake decelerates the drive
wheels via multiple disks.
Coasting brake:
– Release foot from accelerator pedal
(6) (11/13). The truck is braked
generatively by means of the drive
current controller.

This operating method reduces the
energy consumption.
