Figure 2-19: Setting the internal temperature measurement
The Smart Control IP possesses an integrated temperature sensor.
The measured value of this sensor can be displayed on the
Functions page and transmitted cyclically as an UDP telegram.
This can output either in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Depending on the installation conditions, the value measured by the
Smart Control IP may deviate from the value of a comparable
measurement device. The structure of the wall, upon which the
Smart Control IP is installed, and the air currents through free
convection of room air or ventilation systems, are of significance
here.
In this case, the measured value difference can be compensated with
an adjustment value. In particular, the thermal storage capacity of the
wall can mean that the temperature measurement is somewhat
sluggish compared to an air temperature sensor located in the room.
For this reason, we recommend waiting for a sufficiently long period
of time before making an adjustment, in order to achieve stable
ambient conditions.
