4. Installing the belt

1) The belt dstance, between sewng machne pul-

ley and motor pulley, must be parallel.

2) The belt tenson should be adjusted by turnng

the tenson adjust nuts

to change heght of the

motor, so that the belt snks down by about 15
mm (9.8N) when t s depressed by band at the
center of the belt span.

If the belt tenson s not tght, speed s unstable

at low-speed or medum-speed operaton, and

the needle will not stop exactly in position.

5. adjusting the pulley cover

1) After adjustng the belt tenson, adjust the pulley

cover

so that the clearances between the belt

and the pulley cover

and

should be the

same.

2) After the completon of adjustment, tghten screws

located on the sde of pulley cover

and

securely fix the pulley cover

so that t does not

slp out of poston.
