Inspection, maintenance, service
Warning
Before cleaning, maintenance or repair work ensure that the JUDO JRSF automatic
backwashing protection filter is hydraulically and pneumatically depressurised!
Switch off the power supply before working on system components!
Servicing and maintenance could only be performed by JUDO customer service or
authorised technical personnel and while adhering to the applicable safety conditions!
Orderly and systematically performed servicing is the underlying requirement for a fault-
free long service life of the JUDO JRSF automatic backwashing protection filter (observe
EN 806-5:2012, EN 13443-1 and EN 13443-2 for custom mesh widths < 80 µm)!
The attached maintenance log (see Chap. 7.5) serves as a template for the creation and
orderly keeping of an on-going maintenance book!
According to EN 806-5:2012, every technical plant requires regular servicing and inspection. The inspection
should be performed at half-yearly intervals by trained personnel and servicing likewise at half-yearly
intervals. Both must always be performed by JUDO customer service or an authorised specialist company,
who will if necessary replace defective parts or wear parts. Product standard EN 13443-1 must be observed
and adhered to for the inspection and maintenance procedure, for custom mesh sizes < 80 µm EN 13443-2
must be observed. We recommend that you set up a customer service contract, so that your JUDO JRSF
automatic backwashing protection filter can be regularly tested for fault-free operation.
A visual inspection on the JUDO JRSF automatic backwashing protection filter in
respect of the leak-tightness of all connections and the level of soiling of the permanent
filter inserts must be performed at regular intervals, depending on the operating and
ambient conditions!
If necessary manual backwashing must be performed by pressing the key
(dependent
on the level of soiling, several backwashing processes may be necessary)!
7.1
Control unit and linear drive
The following procedure for the replacement of the control unit or the linear drive is only
applicable if the control unit is equipped with program version V-8.10 (from level
12/2011)!
With older versions, both system components must be sent into the Winnenden Works
for matching to each other or JUDO customer service must be requested!
If because of damage or a malfunction the control unit or linear drive must be replaced, proceed as
described below.
