Replacing the shut-off valve
Fig. 18: Replacing the shut-off valve
1 Pneumatic drive
2 Hexagon head screws with nuts
3 Shut-off valve
4 Loose flange
5 Flange bushing
6 Pneumatic drive screws
Close the site-provided shut-off valves in the filter inlet and outlet.
Drain the JUDO JRSF automatic backwashing protection filter via the hand lever of the solenoid
valve.
Switch off the control unit and unscrew the device plug of the solenoid valve.
Stop the control medium supply, then remove the control medium connection and the pressure relief
line at the solenoid valve.
Open and remove the hexagon head screws (2).
Replacing the shut-off valve.
Check all parts for damage and clean to remove soiling and rough points (e.g. rust); in doing so do
not damage or scratch parts. If necessary, replace damaged parts.
Insert the new shut-off valve without flange gaskets centrally between the flanges and slightly open.
The disc must not extend beyond the housing.
Insert hexagon head screws (2) in all holes of the flange.
Slightly tighten hexagon head screws and nuts in a crosswise pattern.
Completely open the disc and check the alignment between the flanges.
Tighten the nuts in a crosswise pattern until the flange lies directly against the housing. Adhere to
the permitted torque of the screws.
Re-attach the control medium connection and the pressure relief line to the solenoid valve, then
release the control medium again.
Correctly refit the device plug again at the solenoid valve and switch the control unit on again.
Reopen the site-provided shut-off valves in the filter inlet and outlet.
Check the shut-off valve for leak-tightness and function (close and reopen the shut-off valve).
Adjust the stroke limiter at the shut-off valve pneumatic drive (see Chap. 6.1.2).
