ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting
the following procedure.
6.5.1- How to replace the safety pin of
the cutter set box
The harvester is equipped with safety pins
located on the shafts of the cutting gears
and on the drums gearboxes. The function
of the pins is to protect the harvester in case
it gather any foreign matter (pieces of iron,
stone, wood, etc.) or if there is any overload
during the operation.
When the safety pin on the feeding drums
breaks, it stops working. Replace the pin of
the cutter set box, proceeding as follows:
1.
Remove the 2 bolts (C) and the cover of
the cutter set box (D);
2.
Remove the two gears (E);
3.
Remove the cutter set box (F);
4.
Using the pin punch found in the
machine toolbox, remove the safety pin
The use of improper safety pins
compromises the operation of the
safety system and may damage the
machine.
Do not replace the safety pin with
piece of iron, nail, bolt, etc. Use only
the original pins.
Eliminate the cause of pin breakage
before turning the machine on again.
