4. Preparation

4.5.2- Coupling the cardan shaft

Before coupling, lubricate the two cardan

shaft terminals.

Couple the male side on the machine and

the female side on the tractor.

Recommendations:

The cut pieces of the bar, the tube and the

plastic protection of the cardan should have

the same length.

Using a lime, remove all the filings from

the tubes. Then, lubricate with a thin layer

of grease.

Special attention should be given to the

tube and bar mounting on the square

profile cardans. The Terminals should be

aligned as shown in the figures below.

Misaligned terminals generate vibrations,

wear and cardan breaks.
