6. Maintenance
6.4.2- Sharpening the rotor knives
1.
Turn off the tractor and remove the key
from the ignition;
2.
Remove the bolts (E) and the cover (F);
3.
Using a 22 mm fixed wrench (H), lock
the sharpener and screw the rod (G),
screwing it in firmly;
4.
Turn on the PTO in working speed (540
rpm);
5.
Position yourself next to the machine;
6.
Carefully turn the rod (G) to bring the
stone closer to the knives (until the sparks
begin).
7.
Using the rod (G), push the sharpener to
the end of the rails. Take a quick break
and pull the sharpener back to the top
of the rails;
8.
Repeat the back and forth movement of
the sharpener, making quick pauses at
the beginning and end of the movement.
Repeat the back and forth movement 4
times;
9.
After sharpening, turn off the tractor and
remove the key from the ignition.
10.
Move the stone away from the knives by
turning the rod (G);
11.
Remove the rod (G).
