Tilt
Tilt is transmission loss in a coaxial cable. Transmission loss
increases in proportion to the square root of frequency, thus affecting
the tilt. As displayed by the DSAM, Tilt measurement displays levels
across a band of channels. Tilt is displayed as the slope between
lowest to highest channel. Levels for each intermediate channel
should reach the line.
A marker provides channel number, channel type, and channel label
in the sub title area.
Tilt measurements appear in order of frequency, with start and stop
channels indicated on the horizontal axis at the bottom of the graph.
Results are continually updated. Channel assignments are designated
by the currently channel plan.
You can save results for later reference.
