INTRODUCTION

The telescopic ladder by its unique construction ex-

tends from a compact format (Fig. 1) to either full length

(Fig. 3) or any intermediate length (Fig.2).

The telescopic ladder must be handled with care and

maintained in accordance with the following instruc-

tions.

LOCKING MECHANISM

The telescopic ladder locks every single step with two

steel locking pins. The locks snap automatically in

when the ladder is either opened or extended.

Each locking pin is connected to a locking lever (Fig. 4)

that has two functions:

1. To indicate that an opened/extended ladder is

securely locked (when both pins are touching the

ladder rails).

2. To release the locking mechanism automatically,

as each section is lowered while closing the la-

dder. When the locking mechanism is unlocked,

there will be a distance between the pins and the

joints.

OPENING THE LADDER

Full length

To open the telescopic ladder to its full length, user

must follow this procedure:

1.

Place the ladder on a firm and level surface.

2. Open the ladder from the top by gripping the top

step with both hands. During this process, stabi-

lize the ladder with one foot placed on the lower

step (Fig. 7).

3. Extend the top section fully and assure that both

locking pins are properly locked.

4. Repeat this process for each section until reaching

full extension (Fig. 2).

NOTE: Always check the ladder is stabilized and

properly locked before climbing.

Intermediate length

To open the telescopic ladder to any intermediate leng-

th, user must follow this procedure:

1.

Place the ladder on a firm and level surface.

2. Open the ladder by extending the bottom section

using both hands.

3. Grip the third step (counted from the bottom) and

extend this section by pulling upwards (Fig. 8).

4. Once extended, assure both pins are properly loc-

ked (Fig. 5).

5. Repeat this process until the ladder is extended to

the desired length.

NOTE: Always check the ladder is stabilized and

properly locked before climbing.
