Loading Ribbons

The J420i printer requires approved ribbons (See Appendix D).

The resin thermal transfer and dye sublimation ribbons are specifically designed for

your J420i printer. For optimum performance and printer life (printhead), always

use approved ribbons.

Only intelligent TrueColours

colour ribbons purchased from Javelin dealer

will work in the J420i printer

DO NOT TOUCH the print head or the electronic

components on the printhead carriage. Discharges

of electrostatic charge from the human body or

other surfaces can damage the printhead or other

electronic components used in this device.

Remove ribbon from packaging.

With printer power ON and READY

status, open cover and press down on the

print head unlock lever to open the print

head carriage. The printhead carriage

will pop open.
