Remember to keep swim spa covered when not in use. Maintaining proper water levels
assures efficient opera on and efficient electrical usage.

damage the interior surface.

Use cau on when removing cover. Before removing cover, assure all locks have been re-
leased to avoid lock breakage and / or cover strap damage.
12.8 Winterizing
Your Jacuzzi swim spa is designed to automa cally protect itself against freezing when oper-
a ng properly. During periods of severe freezing temperatures, you should check periodically
to be certain that the electrical supply to the spa has not been interrupted. In extreme, bi er
cold weather (less than 32

F) we recommend that the circula on pump is set for 24
-Hour op-
era on and that the auto
-
hea ng is selected to protect against damage to the swim spa.
If you do not intend to use your swim spa, or if there is a prolonged power outage during peri-
ods of severe freezing temperatures, it is important that all water be removed from the swim
spa and equipment to protect against damage from freezing.
Expert winteriza on of your swim spa is highly recommended; contact your authorized Ja-
cuzzi dealer
. In emergency situa ons, taking the following steps can minimize damage.
CAUTION: TURN OFF POWER TO SWIM SPA.
1.
Follow the direc ons for draining the swim spa.
2.
Turn the massage / diverter selector(s) into the middle combo posi on to allow the wa-
ter in the plumbing lines to drain.
3.
Turn the waterfall valve to the open posi on to allow the water in the plumbing lines to
drain.
4.
Ass the water level drops below the seats, use whatever means necessary to get the wa-
ter out of the recessed sea ng areas and into the footwell, such as a wet / dry vacuum.
5.
Open all the air controls and leave them open un l you resume use of the swim spa.
6.
When the water level ceases to drop, use whatever means available to remove any re-
maining water from the footwell, such as a wet / dry vacuum.
7.
Remove the equipment-side cabinet panels and locate the drain plugs in the front of
each pump. Remove these plugs to allow for water to drain out of the pumps and heater.
