7.3.1 Transducer
cap
The transducer cap must not be greasy, clean with liquid soap to remove any grease or deposits. Do not use
alcohol or petrol-based solvents on the neoprene casing.
7.3.2 O-ring
seals
It is advised to clean the O-ring seals as well as the seal housings and to grease them with silicone before
closing the acoustic release. Replace damaged or scratched seals (Refer to § Maintenance).
7.4 STORAGE
The device must be correctly sealed and stored in a clean area. If the user wants to keep the batteries installed
during storage, it is recommended to inhibit PINGER ON function. The storage with batteries removed is the
advised storage mode for long storage periods. Refer to the previous paragraphs to open the equipment and
remove the batteries.
