The acoustic commands available under “ARM” command are:

•
DIAGNOSTIC
On telecommand reception, the acoustic release transmits a CAF acknowledgement of reception (CAF:
Common Acknowledgement Frequency). The CAF is factory-selected to 8 kHz or 12 kHz as expected by the
user.
After a release operation, a second CAF is transmitted.
The DIAGNOSTIC function gives two information by the acoustic channel:
•
Battery
voltage
•
Acoustic release verticality
On reception of a "Diagnostic" command, the acoustic release transmits two CAF separated by a delay
Δ
T.
Used in "Time" mode, the TT 301B telecommand unit receives and displays this delay expressed in ms. If the
acoustic release falls in a cone of verticality whose aperture is 45°, the delay is displayed as follows: 5195. If
the equipment is not in this cone of verticality the delay between the two CAF is increased by 10 seconds and it
is displayed as: 5.1.9.5.
In order to deduce the battery voltage (expressed in mV), simply carry out the following calculation:
V_batteries = (
Δ
T – 3000)
×
4.1
E.g.:
Δ
T = 5195 ms
⇒
V_batteries = 9V and the acoustic release is vertical
Δ
T = 15195 ms
⇒
V_batteries = 9V and the acoustic release is not vertical
Used in « Telemetry » mode, the TT801 remote control unit receives and displays these information.
