(c-1) Slide deflector (1A), gland (1-B), outboard stationary seat gaskets (1-C) on shaft.
(c-2) Place inboard stationary seat (2A) and gaskets (2B) in stuffing box cover.
(c-3) Slide impeller hub through stuffing box cover.
(c-4) Slide rotary portion of seal on impeller hub.
(c-5) Slide stuffing box over rotary portion of seal and firmly tighten nuts.
(c-6) Screw impeller on shaft until impeller butts firmly against shaft shoulder. Stuffing box cover must be
held and carried into bearing frame while tightening impeller on shaft,
(c-7) Bolt stuffing box cover to bearing frame.
(c-8) Place casing gasket in casing and bolt casing to stuffing box cover. Tighten bolts on alternate sides
of casing so it does not cock. Tighten snugly but do not over-tighten. Gap should be even at all points
between casing and stuffing box cover. Bolt torque should be 18 to 20ft. lbs.
(c-9) Slide gland assembly (gland, seat and gaskets) into position and tighten nuts evenly.
(c-10) Adjust impeller as outlined in Impeller clearance adjustment.
(c-11) After impeller adjustment, rotary portion of seal will be properly positioned. Using a long Allen
wrench, tighten set screws in rotary.
(c-12) Tighten set screw in deflector
(c-13) Refer to Step 8 for further instructions.

Replace pump half coupling hub.
2.
Replace pump on bedplate and tighten bearing frame hold-down bolts.
3.
Connect suction and discharge piping.
4.
Align pump as outlined in
2.6 Alignment procedures on page 13
. Connect coupling.
5.
Lubricate bearings as outlined in Lubrication.
6.
Connect all auxiliary piping.
7.
Follow directions in
for starting and
operating procedure.
