recording. Reminder: at the beginning of the programme, a pop up appears asking you to start or cancel the recording. Archive: this
event type is used for archiving recorded programs from the hard disk to your external VCR or other recording device, connected to
the VCR SCART.
Channel:
Select the desired channel from the list using the “Up” and “Down” navigation keys. Confi rm the selection with the “OK” key (6).
Name:
Select an event name that will be displayed in the Personal planner list. This name has no infl uence on the real programme
name. You can delete incorrect entries with the “Red” function key (8) and enter new ones with the numeric keys 2-9. In this menu,
the letters behind the alpha-numeric keys on your remote control are active (GSM).
Start date:
Select the start date of the event using the directional keys “Left” and “Right” to select the day, month, or year. To set desired
value use the directional keys “Up” and “Down”. Confi rm your entries with the “OK” key (6).
Start time:
Select the starting time of event. Use the directional keys “Left” and “Right” to select the hour or minutes. To set the
desired value, use the directional keys “Up” and “Down”. Confi rm your entries with the “OK” key (6).
Note:
The starting time depends also on the “Start Guard Time” setting (see chapter Start Guard Time)
End date:
Select the end date of the event. Use the directional keys “Left” and “Right” to select the day, month, or year. To set the
desired value, use the directional keys “Up” and “Down”. Confi rm your entries with the “OK” key (6).
End time:
Select the end time of event. Use the directional keys “Left” and “Right” to select the hour or minutes. To set the desired
value, use the directional keys “Up” and “Down”. Confi rm your entries with the “OK” key (6).
Note:
The ending time depends also on the “End Guard Time” setting (see chapter End Guard Time)
Mode:
The Event Mode can be “Automatic” or “Notifi cation”. If “Automatic” mode is selected, the event will be executed
automatically without any notifi cation. If “Notifi cation” mode is selected, 3 minutes before the event time, the pop-up menu with
notifi cation will be displayed on your TV set. Now you can confi rm or cancel the event using the “Green” of “Red” function keys. If
the action is not confi rmed within 3 minutes, the receiver will cancel the event automatically. Confi rm your selection by pressing the
“OK” key (6).
Cycle:
You can set the event to “Single” execution, “Daily” every day execution, “Weekly” execution once per week, or “Monday to
Friday” execution from Monday to Friday. Confi rm your selection by pressing the “OK” key (6).
Note:
“Single” cycle events are automatically deleted from the Personal Planner list, after they are successfully executed.
Record mode:
Here you can choose if the programme will be recorded in “Automatic” or “Scrambled” mode. If “Automatic” mode
is selected, the receiver will record the programme in TS (Transport Stream) format, for scrambled programs, and PES (Packetized
Elementary Stream) format for unscrambled programmes. If “Scrambled” mode is selected, the receiver will record in TS (Transport
Stream) format only. Confi rm your selection by pressing the “OK” key (6).
In order to play back scrambled programmes recorded in TS format, the user must use the appropriate CI module or CA card for
descrambling. However, scrambled programmes recorded in PES format are automatically descrambled during recording and do not
require the use of a CI module or CA card for playback.
Total Files:
If the Archive event type is selected, use this option to select the recorded fi le on the hard disk that you want to record,
using an external VCR or other recording device. Press the “OK” key (6) to enter the library of previously recorded programmes.
Select the programs you would like to archive using the directional keys and the Menu key for selection (for more information see
chapter Archive a fi le). Exit the library to return to the previous archive dialog. The total number of fi les selected will be shown in the
New Archive dialog.
Keep Files:
If the Archive event type is selected, you can choose to keep the fi les on the hard disk after the archive event is
completed, or you can select “No” to automatically delete the fi les afterwards. Confi rm your selection by pressing the “OK” key (6).
