5 . 1 Maximum Load Specifications
Important:
The maximal load for the AKTIVLINE Standard (working load) is 70 kg.

Important: Be careful to select the appropriate tire pressure. This decision is a
compromise between the rolling comfort as experienced by the patient (lower
tire pressure) and the pushing comfort of the accompanying person (higher tire
pressure). Finding the right tire pressure to satisfy both needs may require a bit
of experimenting. The factory suggestion is

6. Safety Instructions
Please pay extra attention to the following safety instructions:
Conditions for transporting the AKTIVLINE Standard-Dynamic Seating System
in motor vehicles designed for handicapped persons include the use of an ap-
proved and registered wheel chair restraint system by the transporting company.
1 . The maximum AKTIVLINE Standard load is 70 kg.
2 . Do not use the footrest for support when getting into or out of the wheel chair.
3 . Test the effect of shifting weight (and the center of gravity) on the wheel
chair; for example when driving up or down hill, on angled surfaces or when
negotiating obstacles and obstructions with safety assistance from a helper.
The use of an anti-tip system is strongly recommended for an inexperienced
wheel chair user.
4 . The seating system should be parked exclusively on horizontal, even surfaces.
If parking the system in an uphill situation becomes unavoidable, be careful to
bring the seat to an upright position. There is a danger of tipping backwards
when the patient is in a reclined position.
5 . Be careful that the seat inclination is only activated when the anti-tip lever is open.
