BASIC FEATURES: UNDERCARRIAGE

absorber and enable the tension of
the absorber to be set or adjusted.



By opening both adjustment
screws (turning to the left),
the seat system will move
and expand with the patient’s
uncontrolled muscle move-
ment, tension or spasm, and
then return to its original posi-
tion once the movement has
ended.



By closing the upper adjust-
ment screw (turning to the
left), the dynamic seat func-
tion is deactivated and the
patient will sit passively in an
inflexible seat system.



By closing the lower adjust-
ment screw (turning to the
right), the stretching of the
seat shell is possible, but the
seat will not automatically re-
turn to its original position. By
slowly opening the lower ad-
justment screw the seat shell
will slide back into its original
position.



In order to familiarize yourself
with the various positioning
possibilities, experimenting
with adjusting the pressurized
shock absorber will help you understand the full range of movement and
possible variations.

Stabilizer Function

The stabilizers serve to fix the desired seat position, as well as to guarantee over-
all stability (Photo

27

). By releasing the two lower clamp levers, the stabilizers

are released from their fixed positions. Now the two small release levers on the
push bar can be operated and the seat tilt mechanism activated. The angle can
then be fixed by again pulling the lower lever (Photo
