5 . Turn the adjustment screw counter clockwise until it becomes more difficult
to turn the wheel. To check this, lift the AKTIVLINE Standard on one side and
turn the effected wheel with the free hand.
6 . Now turn the adjustment screw clockwise until the wheel in question again
turns freely.
7 . Turn the counter nut (located on the thread of the adjusting nut) clockwise
until completely tightened.
8 . Repeat this procedure as needed for the other wheel.
3 . 6 Rear Wheels
The rear wheels of the AKTIVLINE Standard undercarriage are outfitted with
quick release axles. This makes it easy to remove the wheels in case of a defec-
tive tire, or a tube needing to be replaced.
Instructions for removing or attaching the rear wheels:
1 . To open the quick release wheel lever, push and hold the release button
in the middle to the wheel hub while removing the wheel from the wheel
receiving rod.
2 . When mounting the wheel onto the receiving rod, continuously press the
release button until the wheel is in place.
3 . It is important to note that whether mounting or removing a wheel, the
brake drums must be released in order for the wheel to either be removed
or mounted.
Tip: It is advisable to swing the anti-tip bracket downward before removing the
rear wheels. This will prevent the AKTIVLINE Standard frame from coming in
direct contact with the ground, and avoid resulting damage to the carriage finish.
3 . 7 Undercarriage Folding Mechanism (optional)
If you have decided on an AKTIVLINE Standard model with a removable seat unit,
it is equipped with a folding mechanism to make transport easier by minimizing
the undercarriage transportation dimensions.
When folding AKTIVLINE Standard for transport, proceed as follows:
Remove the seat shell unit from the undercarriage (to remove the shell from the
adapter plate, the security stop must also be removed, since this connects the seat-
ing shell back unit with the undercarriage (Photo
24 ).
