Adjusting the seat width and depth
The width of the AKTIVLINE Standard seat can be enlarged by
5
cm by removing
the side upholstery (Chapter

). The seat depth can also be enlarged by

cm.
Use the four long holes on the bottom of the seat (Photo

). You will get

cm more seat depth. You will get an additional
2
cm of depth by changing
the physiological pivotal points and the back mounting suspension to the
back drillings (Photo

Dynamic Seating
The entire movement sequence of the seating shell is controlled via physiological
pivot points in the hips and the knees. The seat and back units are mounted on sliding
rails and enable the hip angle to be opened up according to the movement sequences
of the patient. At the same time, the knee angle and footrest unit allow for the dy-
namic stretching tendency of the patient. A return spring system in both the seat and
the leg system automatically return the patient to the initial physiological position.

Securing the pelvic and footrest
mechanism
Activate the pelvic mechanism
(movement in the hip region) by
pulling the locking pins located at
the rear of the AKTIVLINE Stand-
ard, underneath the seating shell
(Photo

), out of the tubular mount-
ing and turning these through
90
°.
Sometimes, e.g. when eating, how-
ever, it is preferable to ensure the
passive positioning of the patient.
To deactivate the pelvic mechanism,
turn the locking pins through
90
°
and return these to their original
position, until they snap in and the
pelvic mechanism is locked firmly
into place.
