Operating instructions
System startup
When starting the VisualEyes™ system, please follow the below instructions:
1. Turn on power sources:
Ensure that the PC systems and USB hub are power connected. If any components are connected
through an isolation transformer, this must be turned on using the power switch.
2. Turn on accessories:
•
VNG/vHIT goggles:
Ensure that the goggles are connected to the USB hub or rotational chair.
•
Rotary chair (optional):
Ensure that the rotational chair is connected to power and is switched on using the power
switch. The power switch is located at the base of the rotational chair for the Orion and
Nydiag200 rotary chairs and at the back of the chair controller for System 2000 chairs.
•
Ensure the emergency stop button is disengaged (turn clockwise to disengage the
button).
•
DataLink (optional):
Ensure that the DataLink is connected to power and connected to the computer through the USB
connection. Power on the device using the power switch on the back.
•
Caloric irrigators (optional):
Ensure that the AirFx or AquaStim is connected to power and connected to the computer
through the USB connection (please refer to user manual of irrigators for detailed instruction for
operation).

Generation IMU:
Ensure that the device is powered and connected to the computer either via USB or bluetooth.
•
Digital Light Bar (optional):
Ensure the device is connected to the computer via the USB connection.
3. Turn on stimulus before the computer:
Switch on the TV or projector using its power button. Then, turn on the computer and ensure that the
TV/projector stimulus is configured as an extended display.
4. Launch OtoAccess® Database, and enter the patient information. Refer to OtoAccess® Database
Instructions for Use for further information.
5. Launch VisualEyes™ from OtoAccess® Database.
