Installation Precautions
When y ou inst all and t est t he I nt el Deskt op Board, obser ve all w arnings and caut ions
in t he inst allat ion inst ruct ions.
To avoid inj ury, be careful of:

Sharp pins on connect or s or headers
•
Sharp pins on print ed circuit assem blies
•
Rough edges and sharp corners on t he chassis
•
Hot com ponent s ( such as v olt age regulat ors and heat sinks)
•
Dam age t o w ires t hat could cause a short circuit
Observ e all w arnings and caut ions t hat inst ruct you t o r efer com put er ser vicing t o
qualified t echnical personnel.
Prevent Power Supply Overload
Do not ov erload t he pow er supply out put . To avoid ov erloading t he pow er supply,
m ake sur e t hat t he calculat ed t ot al current loads of all t he m odules w it hin t he
com put er is less t han t he out put curr ent rat ing of t he pow er supply.
Observe Safety and Regulatory Requirements
Read and adhere t o t he inst ruct ions in t his sect ion and t he inst ruct ions supplied w it h
t he chassis and associat ed m odules. I f y ou do not follow t hese inst ruct ions and t he
inst ruct ions provided by chassis and m odule suppliers, y ou increase safet y risk and t he
possibilit y of noncom pliance w it h regional law s and regulat ions.
