Add Filter
. A new tab is
displayed. Click the filter tab to define the parameters for that filter.
To remove a filter, click the filter tab and then click

.
Activity
— This filter detects motion in the specified region of interest (ROI). It is used by the
"Activity Controlled Frame Rate" filter to change the captured frame rate based on the
amount of motion in the ROI and its sensitivity setting.
Motion
— This filter generates a motion and/or no-motion event. A motion event is generated
when objects within the ROI and the specified size range, sustain motion over the
persistence period.
Hooded Camera
— This filter generates an event if the ROI is obscured. This maybe due to
gross camera de-focusing, spray painting the lens, or other methods of deteriorating the
image quality.
Museum
— This filter generates an event if an object of correct size has been added to or
removed from within the ROI.
Congestion
— This filter generates an event if the ROI becomes congested. The level of
congestion is controlled via the sensitivity. The congestion must occur for an interval set by
the persistence.
Counter Flow
— This filter generates an event on detection of sustained motion within the
ROI in a particular direction. To generate the event, the object must be within the specified
size range and be sustained for the persistence interval in the given direction.
Tripwire
— This filter allows virtual boundaries to be drawn, and will generate an event if
these boundaries are crossed by objects of correct size moving in a desired direction.
Combinations of the two tripwire conditions can also be specified.

application note available from the IndigoVision website.
Region of Interest editor
A Region Of Interest (ROI) specifies which areas of the scene should be monitored or
ignored. The ROI editor allows you to specify which areas of the scene are to be observed or
ignored. This area is the Region of Interest. A snapshot of the live image from the camera you
are configuring is displayed in the editor.
The editor is divided into blocks. When you first access the editor, the ROI covers the whole
image.
•
Right-click a block to ignore motion in that block. The block is shown in grey scale, and
the red border changes to surround the area that is detecting motion.
To select more than one block, right-click and drag the pointer over the blocks to
ignore.
