User Guide - v7
1. Use the profile template supplied with the camera to mark out the fixing holes and
cable access point on the mounting surface.
2. Prepare the holes and make the cutout on the mounting surface, fitting appropriate
mounting plugs.
3. Remove the rubber plugs from the exit collar fixing holes, then secure the Exit Collar
(9) to the mounting surface.
Ensure you use appropriate screws such as No.10 x 1inch (4.8mm thread by 25mm)
CSK stainless steel screws.
4. Replace the rubber plugs into the Exit Collar fixing holes.
5. Run the cables through the wall/ceiling access hole and through the exit collar cable
entry.
The Exit Collar provides two cabling options:
•
A 3/4” NPT or M25 threaded cable exit on the side (8).
The side entry is intended to be used with conduit. It is the installer's responsibility to
ensure a watertight seal is made between the conduit and the exit collar.
•
Three access holes on the top.
Each hole is fitted with a rubber grommet. The Ethernet cable provided with the
camera has a compatible grommet.
To ensure a water tight seal, use the Ethernet cable provided with the compatible
grommet. A mini in-line coupler is provided to connect the Ethernet cable to an existing
cable.
To run the cabling through the Exit Holes on the base, follow these steps:
a. Push the cable through the grommet.
b. Ensure you have enough cable pushed through for camera connections.
c. Draw the cable back to invert the center of the grommet and create a water tight
seal.

Figure 29:
Invert the center of grommet to create a collar around the cable
Only use the cable to pierce the grommet. Do not use any other tools, for example, a
screwdriver or scalpel. If you use your own cable, ensure it has a round cross-section.
Alternatively, a round section cable of diameter 5-10mm can be used. Push the cable
through the center of the grommet to make a hole and then terminate the cable with an
RJ45 connector.
Connect the heater power supply
The 12V heater power supply has a cable with a diameter suitable for the grommets on the
rear of the exit collar. Push the cable through the grommet to make a hole and pass it into the
exit collar. If an alternative PSV is used for the heater, the cable must be round in section with
a diameter of 5-10mm.
