Set point Range/Calibration for Closed Loop Systems (Flow Control)
If your system is configured for closed loop flow control (e.g., flow meter feedback), the applied set point input is
used to control
the flow rate of the pump
. In the example shown below, the user has scaled/calibrated the 4mA
signal to correspond to 2.5 GPH and 20 mA to correspond to 25 GPH. This scaling configuration uses the full range
of flow rates available and maximizes the available pump flow rates.

If the MPC VECTOR is configured for Closed Loop Flow Control the displays below will show “flow” and scale
the 4-20 mA to flow rate. The displays below are currently showing pump flow.
If the MPC VECTOR is configured for Open Loop Flow Control the displays below will show “speed” and scale
the 4-20 mA to motor RPM.
Note:
The set point input calibration shown below is for closed loop flow control.
