58 IGNITION ELECTRODE REPLACEMENT

59 FLAME SENSING ELECTRODE REPLACEMENT

Refer to Frame 51.

Remove the boiler sealing panel - Refer to Frame 44.

Swing the control panel down into the servicing position -
Refer to Frame 45.

Unplug the spark
electrode lead from
the control box.

Undo the single
retaining screw
holding the spark
electrode to the
combustion
chamber.

Refer to Frame 51.

Remove the boiler sealing panel
- Refer to Frame 44.

Swing the control panel down
into the servicing position - Refer
to Frame 45.

Unplug the sensing electrode
lead from the control box.

Undo the single retaining
screw holding the sensing
electrode to the combustion
chamber.

Unbolt the sensing
electrode earth lead from
the earth point beneath the
boiler.

Remove the electrode, taking care not to dislodge the
grommet from the casing.

Fit the new ignition electrode, using the new gasket
supplied, check dimensions as shown.

Re-assemble in reverse order.

Check the operation of the boiler. Refer to Frame 51.

Remove the electrode, complete with grommet.

Fit the new sensing electrode, using the new
gasket supplied, check dimensions as shown.

Re-assemble in reverse order.

57 CONTROL THERMISTOR AND OVERHEAT THERMOSTAT REPLACEMENT

Refer to Frame 51.

Unclip the thermistor / thermostat from the flow pipe and
withdraw it from the controls compartment.

Disconnect the electrical leads from the thermistor /
thermostat.

Re-connect the electrical leads and re-assemble in
reverse order ensuring that the spring clip is securely on
the pipe.

Check the operation of the boiler. Refer to Frame 51.
