4. After sending the Individual DSC call, the transponder will display “DSC Transmission

COMPLETED.”

Push [CLEAR] to return to the screen displayed before you entered the Voice channel

selection screen in step 2.

•The transceiver stands by on Channel 70 until an Acknowledgement is received.

5. When the Acknowledgement is received, an alarm sounds.

If ‘Able to comply’ is received, push

ALARM OFF

to turn OFF the alarm.

If ‘Unable to comply’ is received, push

ALARM OFF

to turn OFF the alarm, then

“INDIVIDUAL CALL FAILED” is displayed.

Select the Intership channel specified in step 2.

A different Intership channel will be selected if the station you called cannot use the

channel.

7. Push [PTT] and speak at your normal voice level.

8. After the communication is finished, push

STBY

to return to the normal operating

mode.
