e. When the BEGIN FILE TRANSFER dialog box closes, use
your Xmodem software to transfer the files. For example, with
PROCOMM:
-Press the PAGE UP key when the dialog box disappears.
-Press X for xmodem mode.
-Type in the path and file name of the configuration
you are going to transfer to the 2216.
-Press ENTER.

For TFTP: You must have a PCMCIA networking card in the
PCMCIA slot before booting the 2216 and be connected to a
network that has the configuration file you are going to transfer to
the 2216.
Note: IP addresses need to be set up on the PCMCIA slot using
the System Management Utilities menu and select 11. Remote
Initial Program Load Setup before a TFTP can be done.
a. Select 10. TFTP software from the Change Management
Software Control menu.
b. Select 1. Config from the Select Type dialog box.
c. Select the Bank to send the configuration file to from the
Select Bank dialog box.
d. Select the config # to send the configuration file to from the
Select Config dialog box.
e. Type in the path and name of the Configuration file to be
downloaded onto the 2216 and press Enter.
Spare Interfaces
Question Can I move traffic from a defective adapter to another adapter without
restarting the 2216?
Answer Yes. Use the spare interface function of the 2216. See "Configuring
Spare Interfaces" in the
Multiprotocol Access Services Software User’s
Guide.
