Considerations in Creating a 5577 Data Stream

 

 

C.4.8 Printing Data Exceeding the Right Margin

When power is turned on, the right margin is set to 8, 13.2, or 13.6 inches (the right
margin can be selected in the initial setup mode). The right margin can also be set
with a left and right margin setting control code (“ESX 1A ...”).

When data is printed exceeding the right margin, the difference between the image
transfer and the character transfer are as follows:

Whether the data exceeding the right margin is to be discarded in the main
transfer mode (ESC %1, ESC %2, or ESC %3 is used) or it is to be printed on
the next line should be determined during the initial setup (image loopback
mode).

Ÿ

In the code transfer mode, characters exceeding the right margin are printed on
the next line after inserting a line feed automatically.
