Calibrate NCPUs:
Standard calibration for the NCPU inputs of SiViB Record Type 1532 is 8 mV/µm. As the sensitivity of
NCPUs depends on the target material, it might be necessary to calibrate the inputs for getting true
values. The calibration window helps to find the correct sensitivity and offset values.
Calibration procedure:
Move the sensor to the near calibration point close to the target (recommended 100 to 200 ADUs
current value)
Measure the mechanical distance between sensor tip and target, enter the value into the field and
click apply
Move the sensor to the far calibration point (recommended 800 to 900 ADUs current value)
Measure the mechanical distance between sensor tip and target, enter the value into the field and
click apply
Click “calculate”. Now the software shows true values in the block current values.
Click “store” to write the calibration for this input channel to the setup file.
Repeat the procedure for the second input channel, if you use it too.
