Basic Software Configuration 

Software Language and Data Path 

 

 

Communication 

 

 

 
 

Select the language from the dropdown 
list box. Store the changes, quit and 
reopen the software to make changes 
active. 
 
The standard data path is: 
C:Record_Control\Dat 
You can use any other folder 
accessible by your PC, also i fit is 
physically located on a server. Copy 
the files from the standard path to the 
required one and change the setting 

Choose the bus system first:  

RS232 

Choose the COM port to use with a serial 
null modem (cross over) cable for 
communication betreen instrument and PC. 
The baudrate ist 19200 baud. 

Attention:

 If you are using one of the 

proigrams from the utility CD of the card 
reader, make sure you close it before 
openning Record Control.  
 
The following options are only available in 
record Control Net: 

CAN-Bus NI-CAN and P-CAN 

For CAN-Bus adapters from National 
Instruments or Peak Elektronik 
Each instrument must have a properly set 
CAN adress. All nodes on the bus must be 
set to use the same baudrate. 

Ethernet 

For SiViB Records with Ethernet port. 

Ethernet-CAN Gateway 

For a cluster of SiViB Instruments and a 
Gateway module talking to the PC via 
Ethernet. 

Multibus 

For multiple monitors with Ethernet 
connector
