Both interfaces comply with the USB version 1.1 specification (i.e., maxi-
mum data rate of 12 megabits per second).
Important
To work properly, the used printer has to support PCL (Printer
Command Language). Please refer to the manual of your
printer for more information. A list of supported printer makes
is also available from Hürner Schweisstechnik on-line at

Important
Before printing or transferring data, it is highly recomended to
switch the welding unit off and on again. If this fails to happens,
there is a risk of data transfer failure, or reports in the welding
unit may be corrupted.
8.1 Print Menu
Connecting the printer cable causes the print menu to appear. Using
the
ñ
and
ò
arrow keys, select from “Print All Reports,” “Print Commis-
sion Number,” and “Print Date.” Confirm your selection by pressing the
START key.
When the transfer of the reports to an external device is started in the print
menu, the display shows a counter that indicates the number of reports
still to be sent in the current transfer job. This holds for all ways of sending
reports from the welding unit to an external device which are explained
below, no matter if the external unit is a printer or another device.
8.2 Printing All Reports
If the “Print All Reports” option is selected in the print menu, all reporting
protocols currently in system memory are sent to the printer or the PC.
8.3 Printing a Commission Number
If the “Print Commission Number” option is selected in the print menu, the
first available commission number is displayed. Use the
ñ
and
ò
arrow
keys to select one of the commissions currently in system memory. When
you press the START key, you cause the data of the selected commission
number to be transferred to the printer or PC.
8.4 Printing All Reports of a Certain Day
If the “Print Date” option is selected in the print menu, the last date for
which reports are in memory is displayed. Use the
ñ
and
ò
arrow keys
to scroll by date through the reports currently in system memory. When
you press the START key, you cause the reports of the selected date to
be transferred to the printer or PC.
8.5 Printing on Paper
Printing starts automatically after a selection was made in the print menu.
If the printer is not connected to the USB A interface at the front of the
welding unit, the unit display a “Printer not ready” error message on the
screen. Connect the printer to the interface and wait for all the selected
reports to print off and the “Printing finished” message to appear on the
screen.
If a problem occurs while printing is in progress (no paper in bin, paper
jam, ink or toner used up), the “Printer not ready” message shows again.
After the problem condition is cleared, printing resumes automatically.
