Cannot access the
System Control Center
If you cannot access the System Control Center, refer to the
troubleshooting procedures for the appropriate hardware
configuration:
•
Computer is connected directly to the terminal
•
Terminal is connected to an Ethernet device
Computer is connected
directly to the terminal
Follow the steps below if your computer is connected directly to
the terminal. If you complete a step and the System Control
Center does not appear, continue with the next step. Repeat the
steps once more before contacting customer support.
1. Locate the shortcut to the System Control Center on your
computer desktop.
2. Double-click on the shortcut icon.
3. If double-clicking on the icon does not work, open a web
browser.
4. Type
www.systemcontrolcenter.com
in the browser’s
address or location bar.
5. Press E
NTER
.
6. Type
http://192.168.0.1
in the browser’s address or
location bar.
7. Press E
NTER
.
Terminal is connected to an
Ethernet device
If your terminal is connected to an Ethernet device such as a
router or a wireless base station, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the device.
2. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your
computer.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Attempt to access the System Control Center by completing
the steps in Computer is connected directly to the terminal at
the top of this page.
If you can access the System Control Center after connecting the
terminal directly to your computer, your Ethernet device may not
be properly configured. Refer to the documentation for your
Ethernet device to properly configure it. Make sure to re-connect
the terminal to the Ethernet device before attempting to access the
System Control Center.
