Enabling ROI
To enable ROI, select

Adding an ROI
Step 1
Select a value from the
Code stream type
drop-down list box.
Step 2
Click
Add
.
Step 3
Draw an ROI on the live video image.
You can draw an ROI at a time. To add more ROIs, click
Add
.
A maximum of four ROIs can be added.
Step 4
Select an ROI and Set ROI quality.
When the ROI function is enabled, the ROI quality is the difference between the current ROI area
and non-ROI area.
When the ROI quality is a negative value, the image quality within the area decreases, and the
quality out of the area increases. The smaller ROI quality value is, the vaguer images captured
within the area become.
When the ROI quality is a positive value, the image quality within the area increases, and the quality
out of the area decreases. The greater ROI quality value is, the clearer images captured within the
area become.
When an ROI region is configured, the bit rate will increase in low illumination conditions, which
may increase the network load. You can configure the ROI region based on the site requirements.
If you set
ROI Quality
to a negative value, the image (including the OSD text) definition in the ROI
decreases.
