Syntax

PING IPV6 [<NUMBER>] {<ipv6 address> | "<server name>"}

Description

Sends ICMP echo messages to a remote IPv6 device. If you omit

<NUMBER>

, or use a number

larger than 9999 or one that is negative, then only four packets are sent. Packets are sent at
one-second intervals to prevent congestion.

must be between 1 and 9999.

•

IPv6 must be enabled.

•

<ipv6 address>

must be in the format ####:####:####::##.

SET IPCONFIG

Syntax

SET IPCONFIG { DHCP | STATIC | LOCAL }

Description

Configures EM addressing mode to be DHCP, static, or link local. The setting takes effect
immediately. If mode chosen is static, other parameters are required (see below).

SET IPCONFIG STATIC

Syntax

SET IPCONFIG STATIC <ip address> <netmask> [<gateway>]

Description

Configures the IP settings for the EM to static mode. In selecting this mode, the IP address and
netmask are be set to

<ip address>

and

<netmask>

, respectively. These settings take effect

immediately. The gateway address will be cleared if it is omitted. Note that you can also set the
gateway address using the

SET EM GATEWAY

command.
