Server Selection

The first dialog displayed when you

Add

a new ICA connection

enables you to specify the server or published application to connect
to. (A published application is a server-based program to which you
can directly connect.).

Note that when using a version of Citrix MetaFrame prior to XP in
your server farm, a list of servers or applications may not display in
this dialog because ICA 7.0 and later clients default to a broadcast
protocol of

TCP + HTTP browser

. Earlier server farms typically

use

TCP browser

broadcasts.

You can change the broadcast protocol for a single connection, or
connect to a server that isn’t on your local network, by clicking the

Server Location...

button to display the

Server Location

dialog.
