7. Lift the left and right rear corners

of the base enclosure

until the rear edge of the base enclosure disengages from the
notebook.

8. Swing the rear edge of the base enclosure up and forward

until it disengages from the notebook.

9. Remove the base enclosure.

Removing the Base Enclosure, Compaq Presario V4000 Models

Reverse the above procedure to install the base enclosure.
