6.18 RTC Battery

✎

The RTC battery is included in the Miscellaneous Plastics Kit,
spare part number 378236-001.

1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Section 6.3

2. Release the keyboard (

Section 6.10

3. Disconnect the RTC battery cable

from the system board.

4. Remove the RTC battery

from the clip in the top cover.

Removing the RTC Battery

Reverse the above procedure to install an RTC battery.
