Source assembly power supply .
Nominal value:
+44V to +50V (HP 8711B/12B)
+20V to +24V (HP 8713B/14B)
2 V CO RF 1 Tune V CO tuning voltage for the RF1 phase lock loop on the source board
(RF1 TUNE on the schematic). Typical values are 7 to 11 volts . A
value higher than about 11.5V may indicate a saturated op amp or
bad V CO .
3 LO Integrator Output of integrator in the source LO loop (LO INT on the schematic).
V oltage decreases as source frequency increases . F or the 8711B/12B
the voltage decreases about 9 volts over the frequency range . F or the
HP 8713B/14B the voltage decreases about 7 volts over a .3 to
1910 MHz range; voltage shifts at about 1910 MHz .
4 V CO Oset Tune V CO tuning voltage for the RF2 phase lock loop on the source board
(OFFSET TUNE on the schematic). V alue varies with the source
frequency setting. Normal values are 6 to 10 volts . A value higher
than about 11.5V may indicate a saturated op amp .
5 Output Amp T emp Shows the temperature at the output amplier on the source board
(OUTPUT AMP TEMP on the schematic). Normal values are 30 to 45
degrees Celsius . Not available on the HP 8713B/14B .
6 ALC Log Amp ALC log amp output on the source board (ALC LOG on the
schematic). V alue depends on the source power level. Normal values
are 01.75 to 00.5 volts .
7 ALC PIN modulator V oltage to ALC PIN modulator on the source board. This value
increases as the source power increases . Normal values range from
3.0 to 10.5 volts .
A5 Receiver Assembly Nodes
8 +5V on RCVR +5V power supply on the receiver board. Normal values are 4.5 to
5.5 volts .
9 +15V on RCVR +15V power supply on the receiver board. Normal values are 13.5 to
16.5 volts .
10 015V on RCVR 015V power supply on the receiver board. Normal values are 016.5
to 013.5 volts .
11 X Det T emperature X detector temperature (ITEMPX on the receiver schematic). A
typical value is 30 degrees Celsius when a detector is connected. If no
detector is connected, the typical value is around 0 Celsius .
12 Y Det T emperature Y detector temperature (ITEMPY on the receiver schematic). A
typical value is 30 Celsius when a detector is connected. If no
detector is connected, the typical value is around 0 Celsius .
13 B*/Y A utozero Oset used for the B chopper on the receiver board (BOFFSET on the
schematic). Typical values are 012 to +12 volts .
14 R*/X A utozero Oset used for the R chopper on the receiver board (ROFFSET on the
schematic). Typical values are 012 to +12 volts .
15 B* Detector T emp T emperature of B* internal detector on the receiver board (BTEMP on
the schematic). Typical values are 20 to 60 Celsius; this will depend
on the ambient temperature . Not available on HP 8713B/14B .
