4. Fan wheel / fan box
The fan unit is checked and cleaned by the Hoval customer service as part of every maintenance visit.
- Turn the BioLyt off using the On/Off key on the InfoDisplay (Fig. 110) and wait until the display is clear.
- Open the combustion chamber door and fold up the complete control panel (Fig. 111).
- Unplug the fan connector (Fig. 112)
- Unscrew the four wing nuts on the fan cover and remove the complete fan unit (Fig. 113)
- Remove the fly ash with the vacuum cleaner.
- Lift the front of the fan box and pull it out (Fig. 114)
- Clean the top side of the reheat surface with the cleaning brush (Fig. 115)
- Clean the fan wheel with the spatula (Fig. 116)
Reassembly:
Follow the previous instructions in reverse order to reassemble the fan unit:
- Inset the fan box.
- Install the fan unit. Important: Tighten the wing nuts diagonally to ensure that the fan cover is mounted
tightly.
- Reconnect the fan connector.
- Lift the control panel securing arm (Fig. 117) and fold down the control panel.
