(5) Front Panel…
Removal
1.
First do
(1), (2), (3)
2.
Open machine door and remove plastic clasp holding door
seal retaining ring. This can be done by inserting a fine
screwdriver in the opening provided, and lever upward.
3.
If your machine has the newer type retainer (Zipper) it will
require a small flat bladed screwdriver, to release the band.
4.
Remove retaining ring.
5.
Unhook door seal from front panel and push inside drum.
6.
Remove the screws from the latch plate on the right hand side of the
door opening. The interlock will fall inside the cabinet.
7.
Pull the kick strip away from under the front panel (You may need to
lever this away from underneath). This will reveal two screws,
remove them.
8.
On top of the panel are another two screws, remove these also.
9.
Push the soap dispenser back into the cabinet, so the front of it is flush with the
machine fascia.
10.
Lift the front panel upwards and it will unhook from the cabinet. Place somewhere
out of the way.
(5a) Front Panel….
Fitting
1.
Hook the panel on the location points at front edge of the cabinet, and slot it
downwards.
2.
Fit the screws at the top and bottom of the panel.
3.
Through the door opening locate the door switch and hook it into place (there is a lip
at the front end of the switch that hooks onto the panel).
4.
Fit the plastic cover and screw them in place.
5.
Pull the door seal through the opening on the front panel and hook the edge into the
lip.
6.
Fit one end of the door seal retaining band into the slot in the plastic clip.
7.
Feed the band all the way round the seal forcing it into the groove as
you go.
8.
Fit the other end of the band in the second half of the clip, and with a
pair of grips squeeze them together.
9.
Or as in the picture, if you have a (zipper) type retainer. Fit one end
of the band into the zipper (one notch) then fit the other end in (one
notch).fit band over door seal and into groove. With long nosed pliers
squeeze ends of band together.
10.
Replace the kick panel on the bottom of the machine.
11.
Now do
