Optional equipment
The Tiger can also be operated without these
accessories.
The description of the accessories also contains
a description of the related maintenance.
TopRing Packer
The heavy cast-iron stars of the TopRing Packer
crush the clods between the packer wheels.
The packer is hydraulically pressed down for
efficient performance.
TopRing Packer
Setting
Adjust the TopRing packer when all other set-
tings have been made on the machine. Follow
the Depth setting section in this regard.
1. Open the lock valve of the TopRing packer.
The packer is then lifted and lowered auto-
matically together with the machine.
2. Always lower the machine with pressure so
that the TopRing packer is guided in the soil
with the set pressure.
3. Switch the control unit to floating position
when all packer cylinders rest fully on the
aluminium clips.
If the TopRing packer is not required, it can be
blocked in transport position with the lock valve.
NOTE
The pressure control valve on the packer is set
at the factory and must not be changed.
In case of a broken seal the warranty will be-
come invalid.
Maintenance

Check the condition and firm seating of the
cast-iron stars.
¾
Check the shaft nuts for firm seating.
Loose packer wheels will damage the shaft
and the seals on the bearing. Dirt can enter
and damage the bearings.
¾
Remove any dirt from between the parts be-
fore retightening the nut.
¾
The tightening torque of the shaft nut is
1000 Nm.
