Depth setting
The working depth is determined by inserting
aluminium clips on the hydraulic cylinders of
the packer.
The machine is levelled via the tractor link arm
or drawbar.
Basic setting
1.
Park the machine on a firm and level surface.
2. Lower the machine carefully with the coulter
tips to the ground.
The tine field must be aligned horizontally to
the ground.
3. Fill up the piston rods of the hydraulic cylin-
ders on the packer, and for machines with
swinging drawbar hitching the hydraulic cyl-
inders on the drawbar, with the same number
and colour combination of aluminium clips.
4. Fully raise the DiscSystem.
This completes the basic setting of the machine.
The working depth is now approximately 0 cm.
Tine field depth setting
1. Starting with the basic position, remove alu-
minium clips from the hydraulic cylinders on
the packer, and for machines with swinging
drawbar hitching on the hydraulic cylinders of
the drawbar, until the desired working depth
has been reached.
¾
Remove the same amount and colour combi-
nation on all cylinders at this.
The ratio of aluminium clips to working depth
is approx. 1:4. Removing one aluminium clip
with 1 cm thickness equals approx. 4 cm
deeper working depth, depending on the soil.
2. For machines with tractor link arm hitching,
adjust the height of the tractor link arm hitch-
ing until the machine is aligned horizontally.
¾
Fix the height of the tractor link arm position
during work.
3. Lower the machine with pressure onto the
aluminium clips.
4.
Switch the control unit to the floating position
when working in the field.
DiscSystem depth setting
¾
Perform setting of the DiscSystems in the
field.
¾
Starting from the basic setting, remove alu-
minium clips from the cylinders of the Disc-
System.
¾
Lower the DiscSystem until the discs touch
the ground.
¾
Fill the hydraulic cylinders of the DiscSystem
with aluminium clips.
¾
Retract the hydraulic cylinders of the Disc-
System with full pressure of the tractor onto
the clips and then switch the control unit to
floating position.
¾
Remove as many clips until the desired work-
ing depth has been reached.
The ratio of aluminium clips to working depth
is approx. 1 : 1.1.
Removing one aluminium clip with 1 cm
thickness equals then approx. 1.1 cm greater
working depth, depending on the soil.
¾
Make the same settings over the entire work-
ing width.
¾
Set the first row of the DiscSystem more shal
-
low than the second to prevent lateral pull of
the machine.
¾
Set the DiscSystem more shallow than the
tine field to achieve better mixing of the soil.
¾
Adjust the border discs of the DiscSystem to
the flow of the soil to create a clean connec
-
tion to the area already cultivated. Follow the
Border discs
section in this regard.
