Set the planting depth equally on all drill
units.
Check the seed placement whenever
changing the depth setting.
If the seed placement is adjusted deeper, you
must check the down pressure. If necessary
you must increase the down pressure in order
to assure the planting depth.
The gauge wheels must be
pressure and the wheels must always
turn.
However, the pressure should not be
higher than necessary.
Setting the planting depth
The planting depth of the opening disks is
limited by the gauge wheels. The planting depth
can be adjusted in 12 steps from approx. 0.5
inch to 3.5 inch.

Adjusting the planting depth

Lift the machine.

Remove the lock from the adjustment pin,
insert the pin at the desired position and lock
it again. Each adjustment by stage is approx.
0.25 inch.
The sequence of possible adjustments can be
found on the sticker in Pos. 1 from 0.5 inch to
Pos. 12 with 3.5 in.
