Firming Wheel
Once the grain exits the seed tube it is imme -
diately gently pushed into the ground by the
firming wheel
The grain can therefore not be displaced,
resulting in a uniform placement.
Damage to the firming wheel should always
be avoided.

When new, the firming wheel should be set at
the lowest setting. ( about .25 in. below the
opening disks. As the opening disks wear the
firming wheel needs to be adjusted up the
same distance.
e h T wear can best be measured in the front gap
between theopening disks and frame. When
new the gap is approx. 3 mm wide.

Reminder every 20 hours
In order to prevent faults caused by dirty sen-
sors in the seed tube and to avoid impairments
in the placement of grains, the message “Clean
seed tube every day and check function of firm-
ing wheel” is displayed after 20 hours when
the system is switched on the next time.
Parking the machine
Indoors the machine can be folded and parked.
Outdoors water could run into the seed tubes
when parked in folded condition. Deposits could
also build up in rims and crevices around the
grain sensor. This would impair the function
when in use.
Maintenance

Clean the seed tube every day with the
supplied brush. On this occasion check for
In case of excessive dirt clean several times
per day.

Check the pipe outlet every day. The outlet
must not be damaged or seed placment will
be affected.

Check the gasket at the top of the seed
tube inlet. The connection must be leak tight
so that no foreign particles can fall in causing
incorrect grain signals.
