1. Metering disk
There is metering disks for each seed type.
The disks are differentiated as follows.


The choice of disks is continually adapted and extended.
Before starting planting you should ask your HORSCH
Service Technician for further metering disks.
If metering disks are to be disassem-
bled and used again at a later date, the
metering disks must be marked and
always installed into the same metering
unit.
Opening the metering unit
The metering unit is made of high precision
components.
Any disturbance caused by dirt, leaks in the
vacuum system, moisture or wear have a neg
ative affect on planting quality.

When performing work on the metering unit strict
cleanliness and great care in handling any
parts of the equipment is of utmost importance.
Damaged or worn components must be re-
placed.
Unscrewing the housing half
Loosen both handle screws and carefully re-
move the grain feed cover and lay it to the side.
Note: For most of the work the cables and vacuum
hoses may remain plugged in on the housing.
When reassembling make sure that both hous-
ing halves and the seal on the downpipe are
correctly seated.
Tighten both handle screws evenly and only
hand-tight.
