2 Taking Measurements

2.5 Measuring pH

HORIBA

Wash the tip of the electrode well with pure (de-
ionized) water, and then wipe with filter paper or
tissue paper.

Open the internal solution filler port.

Leave the port open while calibration is taking
place.

Calibration at first point

Immerse the tip of the electrode in a beaker

containing pH 7 standard solution.

Immerse the pH electrode in the sample at least
three centimeters.

Open

3 cm or
more
